  • Potjiekos

    In South Africa we do not need an excuse to braai (barbeque), we also love making Potjiekos or simply said to make a Pot, Potjiekos translate easily as food made in a pot, but being South African, we make it on the fire.

    Today we are making one with lamb, we start hy heating the pot on the fire, when hot adding oil to brown the onions, then some garlic and chilli, I always add butternut to thicken the sauce, today we are adding baby carrots and some potatoes and right at the end mushrooms, I will show you what it looks like when finished
